Film Locations UK Limited will not give your details to potential hirers or arrange recces until we are satisfied of their credentials and you, as location owner, have given us permission to do so. We will never send potential hirers to your property without arranging this with you beforehand - if you are approached at your property by anyone claiming to represent this, or any other agency, which has not been previously arranged with you, we recommend that you do not allow access until you have spoken to the relevant agency to confirm they have indeed arranged the recce and the person calling is known to them.
Location scouts do sometimes call unannounced at properties they see in the normal course of their scouting, this is a perfectly legitimate form of location
research, however we recommend that you always ask for details of the company they are working for and call that company for confirmation as well as ask for proof of identity of the caller before allowing access - if in doubt do not allow access to your property or call here and we'll do the checking for you!
